Area of scientific interests: Nonlinear processes and charged particle acceleration in laboratory and astrophysical plasmas.

Andrei Bykov
Head of High Energy Astrophysics Laboratory at A.F.Ioffe Institute, St.Petersburg and Professor of Astronomy at Sankt Petersburg State Polytechnic University.
Works on supernova remnants, starburst galaxies, clusters of galaxies, astroparticle physics, particle acceleration, X-ray and gamma-ray astronomy, collisionless shocks and turbulence in astrophysical objects with extreme energy release.
Teaches Nonlinear phenomena in physics, Cosmology, Radiative processes in astrophysics.

Andrei Demekhov
Head of Sector, Department of Astrophysics and Space Plasma Physics, Institute of Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Main scientific interests: quasi-linear and nonlinear plasma theory, theory of cyclotron masers, wave-particle interactions in space and laboratory plasmas, dynamics of radiation belts, VLF/ELF emissions and short-periodic geomagnetic pulsations.

Mark Dieckmann
PhD in Physics, Docent in Scientific Visualization. Works as an associate professor at the Department of Science and Technology (ITN) at Linköpings University (Sweden). Teaches courses in computer graphics, numerical modeling and global illumination in the undergraduate program of the ITN. Has previously taught courses in plasma physics at the Queen’s University Belfast (UK) and a course on PIC simulations at the University of Potsdam (Germany). His research focuses on PIC simulations in astrophysics and in laser-plasma applications.
